Let us pray for the prisoners of war.
BLESSED LORD who didst submit to be brought bound and a prisoner before thy judges, be pleased to have pity upon all those who are prisoners and captives, and hear us who remember them that are in bonds as bound with them, which suffer adversity as being ourselves in the body. Amen.
Let us pray for our merchant seamen and all who travel by sea.
BE PLEASED, O Lord to receive into thy most gracious protection the persons of our merchant seamen and all who travel by water. Preserve them from the dangers of the sea and the violence of the enemy that they may return in safety to enjoy the blessings of the land with a thankful remembrance of thy mercies, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Let us pray for those who are in anxiety or sorrow.
ALMIGHTY GOD, who art afflicted in the afflictions of Thy people: Regard with Thy tender compassion the anxious and the bereaved: bear their sorrows and their cares: give them comfort and peace in Thee: supply all their manifold needs and help both them and us to learn the lessons of Thy fatherly discipline: through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Let us pray for complete victory and a righteous peace.
O ETERNAL LORD GOD, our only refuge and strength, who from generation to generation dost receive the prayers of Thy people that call upon Thee: We heartily thank thee for the measure of success thou hast vouchsafed to the Forces of our King and his Allies, make their victory complete and bring, we beseech Thee, this present conflict to a speedy close: grant that a just and merciful peace may repair the loss and heal the wounds of war: unite in the bond of brotherly charity who have been at enmity: and continually guide the counsels of the nation to the promotion of Thy glory and the lasting welfare of mankind: through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Let us pray for the Nation.

LOOK, we beseech thee, O Lord, upon the people of this Empire who are called after Thy holy name: and grant that in this time of anxiety, and distress they may walk worthy of their Christian profession. Grant unto us all that, laying aside our divisions we may be united in one heart and mind to bear the burdens which this war has Jaid upon us. Help us to respond to the call of our country according to our several powers: put far from us selfish indifference to the needs of others and give us grace to fulfill our daily duties with a sober diligence. Keep us from all uncharitableness in word or deed; and enable us by patient continuance in well-doing to glorify Thy name; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Let us pray for our enemies.
O LORD and heavenly Father who would not that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance, who hast commanded us to love our enemies and to pray for them that despitefully use us, have mercy, we beseech Thee, upon our adversaries in the present war. Deliver them from the guilt of ambition and blood, and dispose their hearts to clemency and justice. Visit them we pray Thee with thy spiritual blessing, with reverence for Thy Holy Name, Thy Word and Ordinances, and grant them
to grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Sovies Jesus Christ, and in all charity and godliness of living. Let all mutual offences and hatred be removed from our hearts, and grant that in due time being reconciled one toward another, we may unite in striving together to exalt and glorify Thy glorious name: through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Let us pray that the present distress may be overruled for the
advancement of God's Kingdom.
O ALMIGHTY GOD who canst bring good out of evil, and makest even the wrath of man to turn to Thy praise: We beseech Thee so to order and dispose the issue of this war, that we may be brought through strife to a lasting peace: and that all the nations of the world may be united in a firmer fellowship for the promotion of Thy glory and the good of all mankind: through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
